Glacier County EMS prides itself on offering the best possible care to our patients and our community. In order to continue providing the latest in advancing medical care, we provide our staff with continuing and advancing education on a regular basis. Our staff attends frequent in-house training and are offered the opportunity to obtain training elsewhere to bring home new information. Some of the programs that our staff have been trained in are Prehospital Trauma Life Support, Advanced Burn Life Support, Basic and Advanced Disaster Life Support, D.R.I.V.E. Advanced Driver Education, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, S.T.A.B.L.E., Disability Awareness Training, and many more. After working with our service for a while, our experienced Paramedics are offered Critical Care Transport and Pediatric Neonatal Critical Care Transport training out of state. We enjoy bringing new information back and sharing it with the entire staff.
While we remain very active in educating our staff, we also enjoy being proactive in educating the community. GCEMS offers regular CPR and first aid classes to community members of all ages at cost. Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructors are also available for classes in the medical community. If you are interested in any of the above training or any other specific training we may be able to provide, contact our office.
