Everything You Need to Know About Refilling Prescriptions: Answers to Questions (FAQ's)

Which prescriptions are eligible for automatic refills?

This depends on the policies of our pharmacy partners and the type of your medication. Generally, maintenance medications for chronic conditions (e.g., for blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol) are eligible for auto-refills. Controlled substances are typically not eligible. The best way to know for sure is to check the specific policies on the partner’s website after you connect with them.

How does the automatic refill feature work?

Automatic refill is a convenient service offered by many of our online pharmacy partners. Once you enroll on their platform, their system will automatically process your next order a few days before your current supply runs out. You will receive a notification when your order is ready to be shipped, so you no longer have to remember dates or place orders manually.

How do I refill a prescription using your service?

Our site helps you find and connect to a trusted online pharmacy platform. The process consists of a few simple steps:

  1. Choose a Partner: On our “Refill Prescription” or category pages, select an offer from a pharmacy partner that suits you.

  2. Go to the Partner’s Site: Click our link to be securely transferred to their official website.

  3. Create an Account: You will need to register and provide your prescription information on the partner’s site.

  4. Manage Your Orders: Once your account is set up, you can manage all your refills, track deliveries, and enroll in services like auto-refills directly through our partner’s platform.

Can I set up automatic refills online?

Yes, absolutely. The online pharmacy partners we recommend will help you save time and money. After establishing a relationship with a partner on this site and setting up your account on their site, you can generally enroll your eligible prescriptions in their automatic refill program from your account settings.

When will I be notified about my prescriptions?

To guarantee a smooth delivery, our pharmacy partners usually do your refills a few days ahead of when you run out. If you choose to get alerts (by text or email), you are alerted when your prescription refill is ready for shipment.

Can I change my automatic refill date?

Yes, most of our partners provide the flexibility to manage your refill schedule. By logging into your account on the partner’s website, you can usually find an option in your pharmacy settings to adjust the next fill date to better suit your needs.

Can I manage my family members' prescriptions?

This is one feature offered by a lot of online pharmacists. The platforms used by our partners often allow you to put family members on your account and request caregiver access to manage their prescriptions with their permission. It helps you get all your medicines together at one place

How can I coordinate prescriptions from different pharmacies?

The best way to coordinate your prescriptions is to consolidate them with a single online pharmacy. Our service helps you find a trusted partner who can assist in transferring your existing prescriptions from various local pharmacies into one easy-to-manage online account. This simplifies the process and allows you to bundle all your refills into one delivery.

Do I need an account to manage my prescription information online?

Yes. To view your prescription history and manage refills and order tracking, you will need to create a secure personal account with the pharmacy partner you have chosen through us at their website. This is a simple, one-time process.

What happens if I have zero refills left on my prescription?

Our pharmacy partners are prepared for this situation. When you’re about to run out of authorized refills, they will typically contact your doctor (prescriber) on your behalf to request a renewal. If the renewal is approved, your medication will continue to ship automatically. If you no longer need the prescription, you can simply unenroll it from the auto-refill program within your account on the partner’s site.

Does it cost anything to use the automatic refill service?

No. The automatic refill feature is a free & value-added service offered by our partner pharmacies through the online platform that helps you manage your medicines conveniently. You’ll only pay for your prescription and the delivery fees, if any.

How do I unenroll a prescription from the automatic refill program?

You have full control over your medications. To cancel automatic refills for one or all of your prescriptions, log in to your account on the partner pharmacy’s website. You can visit the option “Manage Prescriptions” or the “Pharmacy Settings.” You will usually see the option of turning off the auto-refill toggle for each medication.

All Your Meds in One Delivery: FAQs

What is prescription synchronization?

Many pharmacies offer prescription synchronization–a handy service that aligns all your eligible prescriptions to a single refill date. Bring all your medications together for convenience and receive a combination pack for easy management and a single delivery that saves you time.

Is there a minimum number of prescriptions required to start synchronization?

Our partners usually need at least two medications that meet maintenance criteria (for a 30-day or 90-day supply) to create a sync order. Once we’ve synced your initial prescriptions, you can usually add or remove other eligible medications from your coordinated schedule.

Why might some of my prescriptions not be eligible for synchronization?

Almost all online pharmacies follow some common eligibility rules. Usually, you cannot synchronize medications that are controlled substances or short-term acute medications, like a course of antibiotics that you take one time only. To qualify, the medication typically has to be for a recurring condition and refillable. For details, please contact our partner pharmacy directly for more information.

Can I sync prescriptions for different family members?

Yes, many of our partners’ platforms are designed to help you manage your family’s health. They often allow you to set up a caregiver-patient relationship within your account, which enables you to enroll and coordinate prescriptions for eligible family members with their permission.

Can I enroll both 30-day and 90-day prescriptions in a sync program?

Yes. Our partners’ systems can typically manage both 30-day and 90-day supply prescriptions. They will coordinate the delivery dates to align as closely as possible, which might result in different delivery schedules for each type of supply. Some partners may also offer to work with your doctor to convert your 30-day prescriptions to a 90-day supply for greater convenience.

What if my prescriptions are currently at different pharmacies?

That’s not a problem. In fact, consolidating them is the first step. Our partners can help you transfer all your existing prescriptions from various local pharmacies into a single, easy-to-manage online account. This is necessary to be able to sync them all for one convenient delivery.

Can a prescription be added to a sync program if it has no refills left?

A prescription must have at least one refill available to be initially enrolled. However, if an already enrolled prescription runs out of refills, our partners will typically contact your doctor on your behalf to request a renewal before the next scheduled delivery date.

Can I set up prescription synchronization online?

Yes. Once you sign in or create an account on our partner’s website, you can navigate to their pharmacy or prescription management section. If you have eligible prescriptions, you will typically see an option or an alert inviting you to enroll in their prescription synchronization program.

What if I need more refills of my prescription?

This is handled automatically. When a sync prescription is due for its last authorized fill, the pharmacy partner will contact your prescriber to request a renewal. If approved, your refills will continue on the same coordinated schedule.

Can my whole family have the same synchronization date?

Although our partners will try to align the dates as closely as possible, a single identical date for all family members cannot be guaranteed. The delivery date to each person is based on their prescription fill history, types of medications, and insurance requirements.

How Can I Make Changes to My Synchronized Refills?

Can I switch my prescriptions from a 30-day to a 90-day supply?

Yes, many of our online pharmacy partners offer 90-day supplies, which can be more convenient and cost-effective. To make this change, you should log in to your account on the partner’s website or contact their customer support team. They will help you check if your medications are eligible and can coordinate with your doctor to update the prescription.

How do I add or remove medications from my synchronized schedule?

You have full control over your medication schedule. This is typically managed within your personal account on the partner pharmacy’s website. You can usually add newly prescribed eligible medications to your sync program or remove those you no longer need through your prescription management dashboard.

How is my synchronized refill date determined, and can I change it?

The initial synchronization date is calculated by our partners based on your past prescription fill history to best align all your medications. However, if that date is not convenient for you, most partners allow you to request a change. You can do this by contacting the partner’s customer support team to find a date that works better for you.

How do I remove a single prescription from the synchronization program?

To remove a single prescription from your synchronized schedule, you can log in to your account on the partner pharmacy’s platform. In the prescription management or auto-refill section, you should find an option to unenroll or turn off synchronization for each medication individually.

Still Have Questions About Synchronization?

Why is enrolling in automatic refills necessary to synchronize my prescriptions?

Prescription synchronization works by allowing our partners’ pharmacy systems to proactively manage your refill schedule. By its nature, this process is an automatic one. Therefore, when you choose to sync your prescriptions on a partner’s platform, you are typically also enrolling in their convenient automatic refill service to ensure your medications always stay aligned.

What is an alignment or partial fill?

An alignment fill (also called a short fill) is a small, partial supply of a medication that our pharmacy partners may provide. Its purpose is to get one of your prescriptions “in sync” with the others, so they all align to the same schedule for future deliveries.

Will I need an alignment or partial fill?

An alignment fill may be necessary if one of your medications is scheduled to run out before your new, single synchronization date. Our partners’ systems calculate this automatically to ensure you never have a gap in your medication schedule.

Is there a cost for an alignment or partial fill?

There may be a standard cost or copay for an alignment fill, just as with any regular prescription, and this depends entirely on your insurance plan. The partner pharmacy will always provide you with specific cost information before processing any order.

Is there a fee to use the prescription synchronization service?

No, the synchronization feature itself is a free service offered by our partners to help you manage your health. You are still responsible for your regular prescription costs or copays as determined by your insurance plan.

How are my prescription copays calculated?

When you place an order through one of our online pharmacy partners, they will process a claim with your prescription insurance provider. Your out-of-pocket cost, known as a copay, is determined by your specific insurance plan. The partner pharmacy will show you the final cost for your approval before you complete your order.

Where can I get more help?

For specific questions about your medications, pricing, insurance, or your personal account, you should contact the customer support team of the pharmacy partner you chose. Their contact information can be found on their website.
