A clinician may ask about chest pressure, fainting, breathlessness, exercise tolerance, recent cardiovascular events, blood pressure, and the stability of known disease. The question is not merely whether tadalafil lowers blood pressure; sexual activity itself has cardiovascular demands.<\/p>\n<p>New chest symptoms or a major change in exercise tolerance should not be routed through a routine ED refill. If chest symptoms occur after tadalafil, emergency responders need to know when it was taken because nitrate treatment may be dangerous. Never self-treat those symptoms with nitroglycerin after tadalafil.<\/p>\n<h2>Kidney, Liver, Eye, Hearing, and Priapism History<\/h2>\n<p>Kidney and liver impairment can change tadalafil exposure and whether daily or as-needed use is suitable. Report dialysis, known disease, and recent changes. A history of prolonged erections, conditions that predispose to priapism, major eye disease or previous sudden vision loss, and significant hearing problems also belongs in the review.<\/p>\n<div class=\"call danger\"><strong>Do not wait:<\/strong> an erection lasting more than four hours needs emergency treatment. Stop tadalafil and seek medical attention for sudden loss of vision. Sudden decrease or loss of hearing needs prompt medical attention. Use emergency services for chest pain, collapse, severe breathing difficulty, or another immediate danger.<\/div>\n<h2>What Happens After the Initial Decision<\/h2>\n<p>If tadalafil is prescribed, follow-up should examine response, adverse effects, adherence, the chosen regimen, and any change in medicines or health.
